Adoption of Revision to Criterion 5.02

In late 2019, the Commission adopted a revision to Criterion 5.02 [Standard 5] to remove requirements regarding TOEFL iBT and IELTS spoken exam scores from the Phased Change to English Language Proficiency Requirements [Standard 5, page 6]. Requirements effective January 1,2020 regarding TOEFL iBT and IELTS written examination scores remain unchanged.

New Reinstatement Route

The NCCAOM recently announced a new reinstatement route for former Diplomates in terminated status to return to active status. The new route opened in December and closes on June 10, 2021. NCCAOM Reinstatement exam(s) are not required for certification under this new route, but all new eligibility requirements must be met to achieve active NCCAOM certification.
