| Course Description: |
Whiplash injuries, mostly caused by motor-vehicle accidents, are neck injuries resulting from hypertension followed by flexion. Patients suffering from whiplash injuries are common in acupuncture clinics and usually have a number of subjective complaints. The lecture introduces the TCM approach to treating whiplash injuries, including meridian theory (especially the muscle-region theory), acupoint selection, acupuncture needle techniques, the prescription of Chinese herbs, and the use of Tui Na. |

Yemeng Chen, L.Ac., the Academic Dean of the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has served as a member of the New York State Board for Acupuncture since 2000. After graduate from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China, he has practiced and taught acupuncture for more than 20 years and published 10 books and more than 30 academic papers. |
